| Coalition committed to the development of downtrodden: Rana | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 26 : Political Advisor to Chief Minister Devender Singh Rana while addressing the Convention said that the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is committed to the upliftment and betterment of downtrodden people of the state because holistic development of the state cannot happen unless the downtrodden lot of the society is uplifted. Rana said National Conference right from the time of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah has been committed to the cause of the downtrodden and this mission of National Conference is being carried forward by Omar Abdullah. The political advisor said it was the coalition government headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who provided OBCs of the state with a platform to air their grievances by constituting an OBC Board which is the first of its kind in the state.
He informed the gathering that the Chief Minister during the recently held meetings of the OBC Board took keen interest in various issues pertaining to the OBCs of the state and reiterated the coalition government's resolve to work for the SC/ST/OBC and all other backward classes of the state. Vice chairman of the OBC Advisory Board, Kuldeep Verma and other representatives of the OBC Association also spoke on the occasion. |
