| Amjad Club, Poonch Royals, Tiger Club scrip wins in PPL | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
POONCH, Feb 26: Defeating their rivals in the respective matches, Amjad Club, Poonch Royals and Tiger Club Mandi advanced into the next round of the ongoing Poonch Premier League (PPL), being organised by Armed Forces under Operation Sadbhavna, here. In the first match played today, Amjad Club outplayed Glamorous Club in a low scoring match easily. Batting first, Glamorous scored 94 runs in 19.1 over which Amjad chased in a nail biting finish with three wickets to spare. In another match, Poonch Royal trounced Mendhar Club by 30 runs. Royal scored 121 runs and bowled out Mendhar for 90 runs. Vibhisen scored 30 runs and was awarded man of match and Rupinder took 3 wickets for 7 runs in 3.1 over for Poonch Royals.
In yet another match played today, Tiger Club Mandi drubbed Habib Club Surankote by 4 wickets. Habib Club made 117 runs in 20 overs which Tigers chased with 4 wickets in hand in 19.4 overs, while In the fourth match, Purani Poonch Tiger thrashed MCC Club by 8 wickets. MCC were bowled out for 81 which PP Tigers chased by losing just 2 wickets, thus overpowering them by eight wickets. S Harbhajan Singh, gave away the man of match awards.
