| GDC Kathua celebrates annual day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Feb 26: Annual day-cum- prize distribution function was organized in Government Degree College, Kathua as a part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the College. Minister of Higher Education Abdul Gani Malik was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Member of Parliament, Ch Lal Singh was the Guest of Honour. On the occasion, Principal of the College Dr. Netar Singh presented the College report tracing the progress made in the last few years and said that the college has taken long strides and has made commendable progress. He gave a detail of the achievements of the College students in the field of academics, sports, NCC, NSS, and other cultural activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Gani Malik congratulated the Students, Staff and Principal of the college for organizing Annual Day function as a part of the series of activities of the college education. He laid emphasis for organ-ising seminars in the near future for providing latest knowledge to the students in different fields by inviting subject experts of national and international repute. Ch. Lal Singh, Member of Parliament who was the Guest of Honour on the occasion sanctioned an amount of Rs 13 Lacs for the renovation of the college auditorium. He said that being an alumnus of the college he will leave no effort in making this college a centre of higher studies. |
