| Poonch Hockey players celebrate Indian win | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
POONCH, Feb 27: Hockey Players of Day Boarding School of Poonch Stadium celebrated the Indian team's victory over France in the Olympic Qualifiers.
The players were full of enthusiasm as they said, Indian entry into Olympic is a dream come true for them as they were very young when India last played the Olympic in 2004.
SAI Hockey Coach Sham Lal Sharma said, "This victory of Indian Hockey definitely boost the morale of hockey players through out the country", adding further "Now parents would like to send their wards to Hockey field as Hockey is our national game. Last two decades of Indian hockey were very unfortunate. Now a ray of hope has come and we are hopeful of a bright Indian Hockey future".
Senior Hockey player, Mukesh Kumar said, "We should be thankful to ace drag flicker Sandeep Singh who is with fine performance ensured birth of Indian team to London Olympics". |
