| 15-member JU team leaves for Inter- University Korfball | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 27: A 15-member team of University of Jammu (JU), including seven women, today left for participation in the All India Inter-University Korfball Tournament to be held at MD University, Rohtak in Haryana from February 29 to March four.
Making their maiden participation in the inter-university competition, the team is accompanied by Manjit Singh as coach-cum-manager.
Sharing details, a senior officer of Department of Sports and Physical Education informed that the opening match of this knock-out competition, JU shall take on University of Pune at 1 pm on February 29.
The Team: Men: Mohit Singh Bhau, Vasharan Thakur, Anubhav Pathania (all Dogra Law College), Ranbir Singh (PG Departments), Shubam Sharma, Gurpartap Singh, Gagandeep Singh (all SPMR College of Commerce) and Bhupinder Pal Singh (RK College). Women: Natasha Zutshi, Mamta Sharma (both PG Departments), Diksha Gupta, Sonia Sharma, Guneet Kour, Reeti Soni (all GCW Parade), Rashmi Sharma (BN College). |
