| Bakaya seeks discussion over interlocutors report | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 27: National Conference (NC) MLC Vijay Bakaya today demanded constitution of a group of various political parties to discuss recommendations of interlocutors on Kashmir. He said this while speaking during discussion on motion of thanks on Governor's address in the legislative council today. He said that present government has constituted and strengthened SAC and RTI as vibrant instruments of transparency. He also compli mented government for taking several confidence building measures for rehabilitation of Kashmiri migrants. Nabroo Gialchan thanked the state government for the cooperation to LAHDC, Leh in its smooth functioning. He demanded representation to Ladakh in judiciary, PSC and SSRB. Dr. Bashir Ahmed Veeri complimented Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for taking government to the doorsteps of common masses. He suggested that State Vigilance Organization be made vibrant organization. B. R. Kundal demanded improvement in the traffic management in Jammu city. He also suggested cold chain facility for agricultural produce. Sheikh Ghulam Qadir Pardesi complimented government on holding panchayat elections in the state and enactment of J&K Public Services Guarantee Act, Information Act, and Vigilance Act. Haji Ali Mohammad Bhat compli mented the government in taking various pro-people initiatives and demanded to expedite work on Central University and Unani College in Ganderbal. He also demanded opening up of offices of various departments in Wakoora block. Jehangir Mir urged for support and cooperation from all members of the civil society to eradicate corruption at all levels across the state. |
