JAMMU, Feb 27: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party organized a cycle rally from Press Club, Jammu in support of reorganization of J&K State. The Rally took off from Press Club Jammu and after passing through Gummat Bazar, Bus Stand, Hari Market, Raghunath Bazar, Purani Mandi, Parade, Chowk-Chabutra, Mubarak Mandi and Jain Bazaar, it finally reached at Party office Purani Mandi.
In the rally hundreds of party workers from different parts of the Jammu District took part, during rally they raised slogans 'Jammu Ka Chief Minister Alag Ho, Jammu Ki Assembly Alag Ho, Jammu Ka Secretariat Alag Ho'. During rally about ten public meetings were organized at different chowks of old Jammu. While addressing the gathering at different parts of Jammu city, MLA Udhampur Balwant Singh Mankotia, who was leading the rally, said that reorganization of the state is only way out to end the discrimination with Jammu region and other parts of the state.
Mankotia said that we want separate Assembly, separate Chief Minister, separate SSRB, separate PSC, separate Planning for all the three regions of the state. He said that this is unfortunate that a list of J&K Bank was published few months back in which only four hundreds youth from Jammu region were appointed out of sixteen hundreds and other 1200 youth were appointed from Kashmir valley. He further said that out sixteen new Municipalities only four Municipalities were announced for Jammu region where as twelve were announced for Kashmir Province.
He said these are the biggest examples of discrimination with Jammu region. He further told that to end the discrimination with Jammu region only Reorganization is the ultimate solution. Tomorrow the cycle Yatra will start from Bhra-hmin Sabha Jammu at 3:30 p.m. and would reach at Subash Nagar, W No 26. The Panthers leaders appealed to the people of Jammu to join in this historical cycle Yatra.
