| PHE employees stage protest in support of demands | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Feb 27: Responding to the call of PHE Workers Welfare Association, the PHE employees staged protests in their respective PHE Divisions while main protest was held at BC Road Jammu.
The agitated employees raised an anti- administrations slogan which has failed in conceding their long pending demands. Speaking on the occasion PHE trade union leaders reiterated their demands including release of backlog wages, enhancing wages, wages to be disbursed to the workers before 5th of every month regularly, all skilled and non skilled workers who have completed 5 years should be regularized at the pattern of Rehbar-e- Taleem teacher and etc.
Prominent trade unionists who spoke on the occasion included Bakshi Singh, Subash Chander, Rattan Doshi, Surinder Kumar, Babu Singh, Swaran Singh, Khalil Mirza, Gopal Dutta. Speakers strongly condemned the delaying tactics policy of the state government and held responsible for deteriorating living standard and other difficulties of the PRE poor workers.
They alleged that Minister for PHE/Irrigation and Flood Control Department has failed to fulfill it, commitments made over the demands of the employees in the past. He further called upon the PHE employees and workers to ready for decisive agitation which is only solution to protect their future and support the agitation to achieve the goal. |
