Bhim seeks PM's intervention in new drug policy | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 27: Chairman J&K National Panthers Party Prof Bhim Singh has appealed the Prime Minister to prevent the J&K government from implementing the proposed drug policy. In his letter addressed to Dr. Manmohan Singh, Panthers Supremo urged the Prime Minister for his urgent and immediate intervention to save the health care system in J&K from the 'draconian and anti-people' proposed drug policy. In his letter to the Prime Minister, the Panthers Supremo said that, "The representation has mentioned eight points in their memorandum which deserve a careful study of the situation prevailing in J&K. It appears that proposed drug policy of J&K Govt. is aimed to benefit couple of favourite companies." "The representation of the petitioners deserves your personal attention because if this 'authoritarian' and 'discriminatory' drug policy proposed by J&K Govt. is not checked in time. Thousands of employees in the existing companies shall go out of jobs that shall only add to the existing turmoil in the State.
This policy proposed by the government shall only benefit those companies which are patronized by three political bosses in the State and in the Centre," Prof Singh maintained. |
