| Students boycott classes protesting aginst Prof. Khajuria’s transfer | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 27: In protest against the proposed transfer of their present Principal, the students of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (RSS)- Deemed University, Shri Ranbir Campus, Kot Bhalwal, staged a demonstration inside the institute here today.
Soon after the news about Principal Prof Prakash Pandey from Allahabad would join as new Principal the students boycotted their classes in protest and forced the closure of institute.
Shouting slogans against the University authorities, the students demanded revocation of transfer of present incumbent Prof Yashpal Khajuria and did not allow Prof Pandey to submit his joining report.
"We will not allow any class work until the transfer of Prof Khajuria was cancelled… Majority of the students don't want him to be transferred from Jammu," said a group of students comprising Vinay, Rajesh Sharma, Rajesh Dogra and Rohit Kumar.
They said that their protest will continue till the transfer order of Prof Khajuria is taken back and allowed to continue as head of the institute for future also. |
