3rd accused of 'gang rape' arrested from Kathua | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 27: The Jammu police have claimed to have resolved the gang rape case with the arrest of third youth wanted in the gang rape case, police said. "Amit Jasrotia alias Mittu son of Tarsem Singh of Budhi was hiding at his residence when police team of Bari Brahmna conducted a raid and arrested him," Police said further maintaining that with his arrest police has worked out gang rape case. Earlier, two accused identified as Sandeep Singh alias Sunny, son of Balwan Singh, resident of Shama Chak, Akbar Ali, son of Mohd Salim, resident of Malik Market, Jammu were arrested by police. Police added that earlier two accused were arrested when the kidnapped girl, who was kept in Sainik Colony area after escaping from the clutches of abductors narrated police the entire episode. She also told police the vehicle number instrumental for her kidnapping and accordingly a message was flashed out. Pertinent to mention here that a 15-year-old girl who was on her way to school at Tarore near Bari Brahmana (Samba), was kidnapped in a Safari vehicle by three youth and repeatedly gang-raped in a moving vehicle and later abandoned in Sainik Colony area, on the outskirts of Jammu city late last evening of Sunday. The family members came to know her kidnapping when she did not come from school and then the father of victim Mangal Dass lodged a case with Bari Brahmna police. |
