| 37 pouches of illicit liquor seized, 1 arrested | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 28: Police today arrested one bootlegger along with 37 pouches of illicit liquor which have been seized from his possession.
According to sources, during routine Naka checking a police party of Kanachak police station saw a man under suspicious circumstances having a plastic bag on his shoulder. Seeing this, Police at once intercepted that man and gone through proper frisking. During frisking they recovered 37 pouches (250 ml each) of illicit liquor. Police arrested the accused person identified as Kulwant Singh son of Rajinder Singh of Seri Budhal distt Rajouri, presently putting up at Mishriwala where he is running a hotel.
In this regard a case FIR No 22/2012 under section 48-A Excise Act stands registered at P/S Kanachak and further investigation is going on. |
