| Agri-technocrats demand amendment in regularization policy | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 28: The Agri-technocrats under the joint banner of Rehber-E-Ziraat (JKATA) Jammu Division /JKATUF Kashmir Division started hunger strike at Mubarak Mandi here today to press for amendment in the regularization policy. Rehber-E-Ziarat from all districts of Jammu and Kashmir assembled to show their strength against the J&K State Govt and demanded the amendment of the cabinet decisions vide date August 4,2011. Dr. Surinder Radotra highlighted that the state govt. has forced us to sit on hunger strike as per our repeated pleas for the review of the cabinet decision in which the Govt. has announced that the technocrats would be regularized on merit basis and that too in the years (2014), (2015), (2016) which is 7, 8, 9 years respectively of their services as Rehber-E-Zirrat. Radotra said, that we are totally against the cabinet decision dated 4th August 2011 and we have demanded the regularization of technocrats on pattern of Rehbar-e-Taleem and batch wise (i.e. seniority should be maintained according to the year of passing of the BSc. Agri. degrees). Radotra said our demands are genuine and we don't want any injustice with our technical and highly qualified Rehber-E-Zirrat's who have been working with the department since 5 years against a meager stipend of Rs 1500 and Rs 3000 per month and have crossed their age limit to compete for any other Govt. Suhail Inammullah (Chairman Kashmir Div.) in the statement lambasted the State Govt. for the approving a policy which is illogical and is not designed for the Welfare of REZ'S. The technocrats who sat on hunger strike today are - Dr. Surinder Radotra (President), Satpal Dogra, Satpal Raina, Rajiv Singh Chib (Gen Secy) and others. |
