Two day seminar concludes in JU

Jammu, Feb 28: The two days' seminar organized by Govt. Degree College, Paloura City in collaboration with Gandhian Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies, Jammu University conclude here today.
Vice Chancellor Central University Jammu Dr S.S. Beloeria was the chief guest for the occasion who in his address said that Non-violence and truth are two principles to solve all problems and challenges in the World successfully. Prof. R.D. Sharma Dean Academic affairs Jammu University presided over the session.
Prof Savita Singh Honorary Prof. of Political IGNOU and former Director of Gandhi Samiti and Darshan Samiti in her Valedictory note dealt on the life of Mahatma and urged the gathering that Gandhi should be lived in real life.
Prof Anurag Gangal, Head Department of Political Science and Director of Gandhian Centre welcomed the guests. Prof B B Anand organizing secretary of the seminar stated that more than 36 papers were presented and deliberated upon in different sessions which included "Major conflict and world peace", "Population , Poverty, Pollution and Proliferation of Armaments", "Conflict between India and Pakistan".
"The only answer to the nuclear threat to day is also found mainly in the Gandhian principles of non-violence and truth. Last but not least, Gandhian philosophy is not utopian but it helps in every step of life every day not only for individual but also for national, international and global civil society because the essence of this philosophy is dignity of the individual on the basis of equality and duty found freedom, the spakers said.
Meanwhile host organizations revealed that major findings and suggestions of this seminar included B .A Honours and M A in Gandhian Studies must be started by introducing and launching Gandhian Studies Department in every University of India.
Prof. Hemla Aggarwal presented vote of thanks.
