| Carrom: Saiqa faces Samara in junior final | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Feb 28: Saiqa Rashid shall take on Samara Riyaz in the final of junior girls' event in the ongoing District Srinagar Carrom Championship at Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Stadium, here tomorrow. Earlier, in the semifinals played today, Saiqa Rashid defeated Mehreen Nabi while Samara Reyaz outplayed Isha. In senior girls' event, Saima Rashid made it to the final and shall be playing against Adfar in the title clash. In the semi-finals, played today, Saima beat Fiza Farooq and Adfar trounced Intiqa Bhat. Similarly, in senior men's category, semifinals line-up has been drawn. Now, in the semifinals, Irshd Ali outplayed Umer Showket while Ajaz Koul shall lock horns against Yaqoob tomorrow. Meanwhile, according to the organizers, the prize distribution function of the championship shall take place on March seven at the same venue. |
