| Educational tour flagged in | | | JAMMU, Feb 28: An educational and motivational tour for the children from far flung areas of Rajouri district was organized by 57 Fd Regt under the aegis of Ace of Spades Divisionto Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur& Chittorgarh from Feb 18.The tour organised under Operation Sadbhvana was aimed at promoting national awareness amongst the childrenand highlight them the rich cultural heritage of the country. On successful completion, the tour was flagged in on 28 Feb 2012 at ALG, Rajouri by Brigadier TK Chawla Station Commander Rajouri.
During the tour, a total of nineteen school children from Govt Higher Secondary School and Pahari Hostel, Rajouri (J&K)got the opportunity to visit various historical and religious places at Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur and Chittorgarh like Birla Mandir, Raj Mahal, Hawa Mahal, Pushkar Lake, Pushkar Fort, Nathdwara Temple, Ranakpur temple, Chittorgarh Fort, Sainik School Chittorgarh etc.
The tour provided a lifetime opportunity for the children to get a glimpse of the progress that our nation has made, its cultural diversity and rich cultural heritage. |
