NIA to submit chargesheet in Delhi HC blast on Friday NIA to submit chargesheet in Delhi HC blast on Friday NIA to submit chargesheet in Delhi HC blast on Friday | | | Asif Iqbal Naik KISHTWAR, Feb 28: National Investigating Agency (NIA), probing the September 7 Delhi high court blast, would submit its chargesheet in the case in Patiala court, New Delhi, on Friday against the accused, including six local youth and over a half dozen foreign nationals. The chargesheet against the accused, involved directly or indirectly in the blast, comes two days before the stipulated time of 180 days for submitting the investigation report in the case. The Kishtwar youth included prime accused Waseem Akram Malik, Amir Abbas Dev presently lodged in Tihar jail, Delhi, teenager Abid Hussain Bhawani, released on bail by Juvenile Justice Board, New Delhi, Amir Kamal alias Akram, Junaid Akram Malik and Shakir Hussain alias Chota Hafiz, all HM militants who were hiding in Marwah forests of Kishtwar. The chargesheet was also submitted against over six foreign militants, including Pak Maj Ghulam Sarwar, Bangladeshi army Maj Yasir, Bilal Bahi, Haroon Bahi and others. According to sources, the NIA chargesheet stated that Waseem hatched a conspiracy in Bangladesh and later travelled to Jammu from where he travelled to Kishtwar and held a meeting with HM militants, including his younger brother Junaid Akram Malik, who provided them the explosive which was used in the Delhi HC blast on September 7, 2011. In the chargesheet, NIA was expected to submit the confessional statements of the three already arrested accused, call details and statements of some key witnesses, email data sent from Global Internet café, Kishtwar, besides CCTV footage of Jammu and Kashmir ATM and a Jammu based private shopping complex. In its investigating report, NIA charged Abid Hussain Bhawani for sending an email, claiming responsibility of the blast, while Amir Abbas Dev was charged for having knowledge about the blast before it took place. Dev was present in the meeting that took place near his house. The meeting was attended by Waseem Akram Malik and foreign militants. After submitting the chargesheet, NIA was likely to approach the court to declare all the other accused as absconders. Sources said after submitting the chargesheet in court of law, NIA would continue its investigation and would submit supplementary chargesheet in the court as and when it found something special in the case. |
