| PHE workers hold protest, seek fulfilment of demands | | | Early Times Report POONCH, Feb 29: Continuing with their agitation, the PHE Workers Welfare Association on the 3rd day of their protest dharna raised anti-govt slogans in the office premises of PHE to draw the attention of the higher authorities towards the pending demands of the employees. The protesting Phe workers demanded release of wages at the rate of Rs 125 per day to all categories of workers besides they sought wages be disbursed regularly before 5th of every month.They also demanded regularization of all workers engaged prior and after year 1994, all the workers engaged after November 2005 be treated as daily rated workers, the class four employees who have completed more than two years at one place be sent back to their previous respective sub-divisions, left out cadres which are not covered under SRO-59 be incorporated in the said SFO, maintaining of seniority list, conducting of DPC against posts vacated due to retirements and promotions and technical higher grades and risk allowance be given to the technical employees.Addressing the employees, President Mohd Zaman said that they have been working round the clock in rough and tough conditions but they are being deprived of the essential benefits. He demanded higher technical grades and risk allowance for all the technical employees. |
