| Tarigami calls attention of govt | | | Jammu, January 20
Replying calling attention notice of Mr. M. Y. Tarigami, Minister for Health Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma stated in Legislative Assembly today that in pursuance to Cabinet Decision No.218/13 dated 16-10-2006, the Youth Services and Sports Department was re-organized vide Government Order No.140-Edu/Tech of 2006 dated 13-11-2006.
As per the said order 2551 new posts of different categories were created which include 386 posts of Physical Education Lecturers for Higher Secondary Schools, 1126 posts of Physical Education Masters for High Schools, 840 posts of Physical Teachers and 199 posts of Orderlies/Ground-men for Zonal Offices.
As new categories of posts have been created which do not exist in the existing recruitment rules, so the recruitment rules for gazetted as well as non-gazetted posts of Youth Services and Sports Department are required to be amended the process for which has been initiated already. Unless the rules are amended, the posts cannot be refereed to the recruiting agencies.
Moreover, the Economic Reconstruction Agency has taken up the work for laying of water pipes all along road from 2nd to 6th km and as such the old road got damaged due to laying of water pipes. However, the restoration of road is in progress by ERA. |
