Bail denied to two narcotic smugglers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Feb 29: 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu today rejected the bail applications of Joginder Singh and Yashpal both residents of Kotli Mian Fateh, R.S.Pura, from whom the police recovered 1600 & 3500 capsules were recovered. While rejecting the bail of both accused, 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Subash C Gupta observed that drug peddlers have spread their tentacles in whole of the country and are spoiling the life of the young generation. Offences under NDPS Act have alarming affect on the society at large as its vitalities are being eaten by the persons who are involved in carrying out the activities of supplying drugs to the younger generations. On considering the merits of the present case, Court is sure that the accused-petitioners are not entitled to bail at this stage. Accordingly, bail plea of the accused-petitioners is hereby rejected. As per the police case on October 26, 2009 Joginder Singh and Yash Pal were intercepted by Police Interception/Naka Party, near Sunjwan, Jammu and recovered 1600 capsules from Joginder Singh and 3500 from Yash Pal. It is further alleged that the duo was allegedly carrying the same for sale, without any lawful authority. |
