| Lack of transparency forcing PMGSY to limp on | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Rajouri, Feb 29: Locals of Sankari area of Rajouri alleged that lack of transparency and accountability have put Pradan Mantri Gram Sadak Yogna (PM-GSY) projects to limp on. Local alleged that about three and a half years back a road construction project of 5km road to be constructed between Chokian and Sank-ari was started under PMG-SY Project making locals to hope for better road connectivity in the area. "After several months have passed but only 2km part of this road of the road has been constructed while work too suspended in midway and has no been resumed till date, they alleged further adding, "reasons of stopping midway could be known to concerned authorities. Locals however added they have repeatedly taken the matter to the officials of concerned PMGSY Depart-ment several times but no official paid attention towards this. |
