| NMFGM protests bid to grab land at Padyari | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Feb 29: A massive protest held by the people of Panchayat Padyari under the banner of Nature-Mankind Friendly Global Movement (NMFGM) against the land grabbers in village Padyari near here today. The protest was led by the founder Global Movement former Minister Babu Singh, who strongly condemned brutal attack on innocent poor families by the land mafia in when they were going to register a complaint for seeking police help after being beaten up early in the morning in the village. Singh said that the revenue department and police administration should directly intervene in order to settle the dispute between the various families of Padyari. He said the revenue department has not given any legal notification to the aggrieved families before marking the land which is not legal approach and seemed a practice to encourage the land Mafia. Later the entire Panchayat met with SSP JL Sharma under the leadership of Babu Singh where as SSP Kathua heard the grievances of the people and on spot delivered the direction to Nagri police chowki to register the complaint against the land grabber. |
