Govt failed to readdress grievances of EP tenants | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 29: Alleging that present government is applying delaying tactics in readdressing the grievances of the Evacuees Property (EP) tenants, the EP Tenants Welfare Society President Inder Mohinder Tar Singh said today that over three months have been wasted to resolve the issue. Addressing media persons, Tar said that we were asked to wait for sometime for the redressal of our grievances, however, the impediment on part of the government is creating unnecessary chaos. We have taken a serious note of it, he added. He said that we have written to Revenue Minister as well as Chief Minister but both of them paid no heed to the just demands of the helpless and poor tenants. Tar Singh informed that we repeat the viable proposal put forth earlier that tenants are ready to pay the cost of the houses at the time of construction after deducting the amount paid in the shape of rent by the tenants and also the administrative expenditure incurred by the department. |
