| JKP organizes T20 Cricket tournament at Doda | | | Early Times Report
DODA, Mar 1: Jammu and Kashmir Police Doda today organized T20 Tournament at Sports Stadium Doda under Civic Action Programme (CAP). The tournament was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Doda Farooq Ahmed Khan in presence of SP Doda Mohammad Arif Rishu and other Officers of Police and Civil Administration. This is the 9th such event being organized by District Police Doda under CAP 2011-12.
About 24 teams of District Doda are participating in the tournament. The tournament is being played on knock basis. About 16 league matches, 04 matches of Quarter Final, 02 matches of Semi Final and 01 final, making in all 23 matches will be played during the tournament. The inaugural match was played between Bhartiya Eleven and Natnoo Eleven which was won by the later. Ashok of Natnoo Eleven was declared man of the match. Huge gathering of people of Doda and adjoining areas witnessed the inaugural ceremony and match. Final of the tournament will be played on 11-03-2012. Besides that, District Police Doda had earlier organized a number of people friendly and youth oriented programmes like Quiz Competition in Doda/Bhaderwah/Gandoh, Volley Ball Tournament at Marmat/Bhaderwah/Gandoh, Wrestling competition at Marmat and Painting competition at Doda. |
