Mankotia demands release of Wardens' selection list | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 1: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party president and MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia has demanded immediate release of the selection list for the posts of Wardens in Prisons department pending since 2005. He said that Panthers Party would take up the issue in the Assembly. A deputation of aspirants for the post of Warders in Prisons department of Jammu and Kashmir Police today met Mankotia seeking his intervention in declaration of selection list for the posts. The deputation informed that the posts of Warders in Prisons department were advertised vide notification No 539 of 2005 and final interviews were conducted in the year 2010. More than 40,000 youth appeared for the tests out of which 1200 candidates qualified for the interview but till now final selection list is awaited, they said. "We even met the Chief Minister during 'Awami Darbar' but nothing has been done till date," they said. Balwant Singh Mankotia paid a patient hearing to the deputation and assured them to rake up the issue in the State Assembly during the ongoing session. He said that Panthers Party is committed to the cause of downtrodden classes on the state and expose the hollow sloganeering of the political parties. |
