| PNB opens its 71st branch in the state | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Jan 20
PNB opened its 71st fully computerized branch at Janipur Jammu today. The branch was inaugurated by SS Kapur Principal Secretary Planning Government of Jammu and Kashmir. Other dignitaries who shared the dais with Kapoor at the inaugural function of the branch included T. Angmo Director Door Darshan Jammu, Vivek Arya Zonal Manager PNB J&K Zone and S S Chib Manager of the new branch of the bank at Janipur. Both Kapur and T. Angmo were all praise for the proactive role of the bank and enthusiasm of its work force in economic development of the State. Kapur added that PNB is moving fast towards becoming a UNIVERSAL BANK by offering a variety of products and services. T Angmo Director Door Darshan Jammu launched the policies of the bank aimed at helping the middle class and under privileged sections of the society. Arya Zonal Manager PNB J&K Zone informed the gathering that the branch shall work on anywhere banking software developed by IT giant INFOSYS. He also added that the branch shall have an on site ATM and state of art banking services and products. He further revealed that the bank proposes to open 2 more branches in the state located at Samba and Kupwara during the current financial year. The bank also planned to add 12 more branches in the state during 2007-08 he added. The residents of the area thanked bank management for opening anywhere banking branch at the location.
