| Workshop on "Manuscriptology and Paleography" begins at JU | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 1: The three week long workshop for Research Scholars of Urdu and Persian began today in Jammu University.
The workshop is being organized by the department of Urdu, University of Jammu in collaboration with National Mission for Manuscripts on the theme "Manuscriptology and Paleography".
The inaugural function was held today here in the Prof. Gain Chand Jain seminar hall of the department of Urdu, University of Jammu which was presided over by Dean Faculty of Arts Prof. Archana Kesar while Director School Education Gulzar Ahmed Qureshi was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Dr Khawaja Ekram of JNU was the Guest of Honour. The HOD Urdu Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik, Prof. Sukhchain Singh,
Dr Mohd Reyaz, Dr Chaman Lal, Dr A R Manhas, Dr Farat Shamim besides students, scholars and faculty members of the various teaching departments of the university and respectable citizens attended the inaugural function. |
