Multi-lingual 'mushaira' organised, 5 books released | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Mar 1: A multi-lingual 'mushaira' was organised by Punjabi Sahit Manch Kathua and Triveni Kala Kunj Kathua in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu, here today. In the function, Zahida Parveen Khan, District Development Commissioner, Kathua was the chief guest and JL Sharma, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kathua was guest of honour while Savita Bakshi, Additional Secretary, Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu was the special guest. On the occasion, five books of different writers of Punjabi Sahit Manch were released. It include Principal Hazura Singh's book in Punjabi 'Sadhran De Phull', Daleep Singh Sawan's novel in Hindi 'Oolti Khopri', Dr Tejinder Kour's Punjabi book 'Zindagi Di Raas', Principal Gazan Singh's Urdu book 'Mazi Ki Sair', Kathua Today newspaper's Editor Kamaljeet Singh's book based on Hindi poems namely 'Tumhare Shehar Main'. After the release of books, a multi-lingual mushaira was organised in which more than 20 poets of different languages from Punjab, Himachal, Jammu and Kathua read their poems. While addressing poets and other people the Chief Guest Zahida Khan said that she was vimpressed that at a time five books were released. She said that Kathua is very rich in cultural and artistic activities. She praised Punjabi Sahit Manch for organising this programme. |
