Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 1: The coalition government's every blunder is adding to political gains of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state which is consolidating its position day by day not only in Kashmir Valley but Jammu region.
The tough stance taken by the Party against the corruption and other issues concerning the people of the state in State Legislature are adding to its popularity day by day and if Party consolidated its position this way it will wipe out the ruling alliance completely from the Valley.
The people in the state are fed up with the wrong and anti people policies of the coalition government in the state said Javed Rasool a private school teacher from South Kashmir district of Anantnag. The coalition has failed on all fronts and it has given nothing to the state except Gunda Raj and corruption. Even the seats in Upper House and ministerial berths are also now sold and the state, under the rule of Omar Abdullah, have earned dubious distinction of becoming first corrupt state of the country, he added.
He said the people in the state are totally fed up as the government has lost contact with masses and it is deliberately ignoring their problems. The government is totally involved in corruption and it has failed to take a principled stand on the issue he added.
Instead of taking action against corrupt politicians, ministers and bureaucrats, the government is covering them; he said adding this has generated a lot of resentment among the masses. "How can people trust a government which does not spare even the media from attack said Mohammed Ramzan private engineer by profession." The statement of chief minister that media is being feasted Wazwan (a delicious) dishes of Kashmir by PDP shows that the government least bothers to respect media which is an important pillar of democracy. With non BJP parties also trying to appease the government and not raising their voice against the rising corruption which is eating up vitals of the state, he said.
Ramesh Khullar a social activist from Ramban said that coalition will collapse under its own wait. The failure of the government to address the chronic problems of the people has led to public resentment in the entire state.
Besides the lack of coordination between NC and congress over vital issue of governance is another drawback among the alliance partners. The trust deficit among the two parties on the one hand and increasing tussle between the two congress factions is not a good sign for the fate of coalition he added.
