Despite DG's recommendation for elevation as ADGs, 3 IGS attain superannuation | | | ET Report Jammu, Mar 1: Three inspector generals of police Ashok Gupta, M Amin Shah and Raja Ajaz Ali attained age of superannuation on last day of February yesterday. Ironically Director general of police Kuldeep Khoda had recommended to the state government that the trio may be elevated as additional director generals of police , may in rank only. But the state government, it is learnt, humbly declined the DG's recommendation, the sources said. DG Khoda had recommended the promotion cases of the three IGs to the home commissioner BR Sharma but he declined to give the elevate the trio for only 48 hours, the sources said. Interestingly, the letters of attaining age of superannuation of these officers were communicated to them at 4 PM on Tuesday. The DG , it is learnt , was expecting the promotion of order of three IGs anytime till Tuesday . In another development DG Khoda , who is also retiring at the end of May this year, is likely to get extension of three months before the state government decides to appoint him as chief vigilance commissioner of the newly created state vigilance commission, it is learnt. |
