Police solves burglary case recovers stolen item worth 1 lakh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Kishtwar, Mar 2: Kishtwar police claimed to have achieved a major success in working out a burglary case with the arrest of one person and also recovered stolen items including cash and valuables worth one lakh, police said. While briefing media persons in his office chamber, Dy SP Headquarter Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary said that on the intervening night of December 6/7 last year at the house of a lecturer was broke open by a burglar who decamped with cash rupees 9000, gold worth rupees 80000 and electronic items worth rupees 10, 000. "After registering the case FIR No: 333/2011 U/S 457/380 RPC at Police Station Kishtwar, Dy. SP Headquarter Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary said. Dy SP said that police after rounding up a lot of suspects zeroed in on one Tahir Nawaz Son of Ghulam Rasool Sheikh of link road Kishtwar, a driver by profession who after sustained interrogation made the disclosures. He said that the accused was arrested by a team of Police Station Kishtwar headed by him and SHO P/S Kishtwar Inspector Mushtaq Ahmed under the supervision of District SP Kishtwar, B.S.Tutti. He said that the recovery of the stolen items including gold items and a mobile phone along with SIM Card was affected in presence of Executive Magistrate Bansi Lal and independent witnesses by the Police team on the disclosure of the accused Tahir Nawaz Son Ghulam Rasool Sheikh. Police official also added that the accused out of Rs 9000 stolen money deposited Rs 8000 in his personal bank account of State Bank of India Branch Kishtwar. He said that the recovered item will be handed over to the real owner i.e. Ghulam Qadir Mattoo after completion of all legal formalities. |
