| Home Gurads continue their struggle, stage protest rally | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Mar 2: Contin-uing their protest in support of their long pending demands, the Jammu and Kashmir Home Gurad today staged a mass rally towards Civil Secretariat. However, their attempt was foiled by the police which resorted to mild cane to disperse the protestors.
Led by Kamla Sharma President, Bilal Ahmaed Vice President, Vice Chariman Javed Ahmed and Sayed Shan Press Secretary of All J&K Home Guard Welfare Association Jammu, the ralliests holding banners and placards started their march from Shalamar Chowk towards Civil Secretariat Jammu to high light their genuine demands before the Administration of the State Government.
Addressing the ralliests Kamla Sharma President of the Association they have arranged peaceful rally to highlight their genuine demands including wages at par with neinghbouring states like Punjab and Haryana. She alleged that state government is giving step motherly treatment to the Jawans of the Home Gurad of J&K who are performing their duties regularly and are being paid meagerly Rs 545/-. Bilal Ahmed Vice President of the Association has appealed to the Chief Minister to intervene the matter. |
