| Kranti Dal demands separate assembly for Jammu, Kashmir | | | EARLY TIMES Report
Jammu, Mar 2: Kranti Dal has demanded separate assemblies both for Jammu as well as Kashmir. In a press conference held here today Kranti Dal strongly pleaded for a separate assembly for Srinagar and Jammu region as well.
Anan Sharma working chairman of Kranti Dal said as long as the Govt. is dominated by the Kashmir centric people the genuine demands of Pok refugees will not be fulfilled. Therefore it is the need of the day that Jammu should have its own Assembly.
Sharma further said that time has come, that the all Jammu based political parties and social organization should come under one banner to fight for right, to get the separate Jammu State.
Sharma said that the miseries and hardships faced by the refugees of 1947 and onward from PoK & West Pakistan by the hands of successive Govts of the National Conference and Congress were highlighted. After the passage of 64 years the Govt. is turning a deaf ear to their woes and hardships. It is pertinent to mention here that the Central Govt has sanctioned the packages for the rehabilitation of these helpless people but the successive state Govt. of National Conference and Congress are not interested for the implementation of central sponsored packages and Fund thus sanctioned from the central Govt. are diverted to somewhere else.
The state Assembly (Govt) is not even interested to listen the difficulties/ miseries/hardships faced by these uprooted people from POK & West Pakistan since 1947. Nothing has been done for their rehabilitation and no compensation has been paid for their left over properties. Once State BJP tried to move a motion regarding these hapless people in the state Assembly but they were not allowed to do so by the state govt. Refugees of 1971 are on protest from last 2 year and there is no Govt. to address their problems. The present Coalition Govt has proved a total failure. It is evident from the fact that Jammu is witnessing protest demonstrations every day. Aagan Wari workers, Agricultural technocrats, Home guards are Lathi Charged, PHE workers are on protest, SRTC employees are on strike, but there is nobody / no Govt. even to listen them. This clearly Indicates that there is no Govt. Scams, scandals of corruption and malpractices by the Ministers and bureaucrats dominate the headlines of the daily news papers. |
