Gujjars rue non availability of space in Kissan Ghar | | | EARLY TIMES Report Jammu, Mar 2: The Gujjar community from Jammu region had rued the non availability of accommodation to them in the Kissan Ghar, Jammu. In a press communiqué issued here to the press stated that it is pity on the part of Horticulture Department, Jammu that the building namely "Kisaan Ghar" which is actually meant for the fruit growers of the Kashmir valley, is not being provided to the fruit growers belonging to Gujjar community. They said that whenever any member from the community approach concern officer for allotment of room in connection with their day to day work regarding supply of fruit in Jammu had been ignored. Abdul Majid Kohli, President District Kupwara while approached the concerned officer of the Horticulture Department In-Charge of Kisaan Ghar and also met the Director Horticulture, Produce and Marketing, Khan who also showed his inability to allot the same to him. Kohli further added that he had been refused the availability of the accommodation in the said Kissan Ghar meant for fruit growers and appealed to the Chief Minister, J&K to intervene and find out the reason for non-allotment of accommodation to the poor community while their members visit Jammu in connection with the fruit business. |
