Nikhil, Anshu win in Sprawling Buds Sport Climbing | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 2: Nikhil Sharma and Anshu Pandita won boys and girls titles respectively in the 5th Sprawling Buds School championship held at the 40 ft high Tenzing Norgay Sport Climbing Wall at Sprawling Buds School in Bantalab, near here today. Nikhil Sharma, a state climber, topped the wall in style to win the title while Anshu who was runners up last year, climbed with strength and grace to emerge victorious. Aryan Raina and Bhumika Sharma bagged the titles in the junior categories while Vishav Partap Singh was crowned the sub junior trophy. Assistant Director, Doordarshan Kendra Jammu, Sanjit Khajuria was the chief guest, who presented medals to winners of different age groups. The competition was conducted in technical collaboration with Tawi Trekkers, J&K. Secretary, Mountaineering Association of J&K, Ram Khajuria was overall responsible for the conduct of the competition while Anil Kumar and Puneet Sharma, both national climbers, were the Route Setters-cum-Belayers. Neha Dutta and Ritesh Jargotra were the judges. Prominent among others present on the occasion included the Principal Mrs. Pooja Sharma and Directors of the school Rahul Sharma, Arti Sharma and Savita Khajuria, Satish Bhan, Poonam Mishra, Sudha Qazi, Neha Sajgotra and Himani Sharma.
