| PDP leaders calls on Com/ Secy School Education | | | Early Times Report
Ramban Mar 3: Shahkeel Singh Bhagat District Vice President Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) Ramban met with Commissioner/ Secretary School Education, J&K at Jammu regarding irregularities in New Primary schools and staff employed in the Schools in District Ramban.
During the meeting the meeting the visitor took the case of schools in Ramban and Ukhral Zone where norms and rules were set aside for sanctioning of New Primary Schools as per feasibility report that top priority be given to the New Primary School which is maximum, but the needful has not been done. He also raised the issue that the panel of RET and regular RET is pending in the office of the ZEOs, CEO from last three to four years has not been cleared due to some unknown reasons. He also mentioned that surprisingly majority of School from Primary to Higher Secondary Schools in remote areas are reeling lack of staff and schools at roadside have high concentration of staff. He also stated that one person namely Zakir Hussain, Lab Assistant HSS Ramban at Chief Education Officer, instead of suspension since 1998 is since active in the office CEO Ramban w.e.f. 01.04.2008 till date while he was arrested by the Ramban Police in embezzlement of school funds of Rs. 1,52,450.13 under FIR No 116/98 u/s 409/467/468/ RPC. The Commissioner/ Secretary given patient hearing and assured action in the issues raised during discussion. |
