| Lawrence School honours Padam Shree S.P. Verma | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 2 : Management, staff and parents and people from civil society facilitated Padam Shree S. P. Verma for getting a very prestigious and highest civil award (Padam Shree) for the first time given to anyone for social service from J&K State. All Gandhians and members of Gandhi Global Family were present.
Those who spoke on the occasion were MLC Jahangir Mir, Joint Director Information Jammu Soujanya Sharma, K.K. Gandotra, Katal, Mr. Bichoo, Sanaullah, Barti, former PSC member, Chairman Lawrence Public School, Wg. Cdr, M. Joshi (retd). S. P. Verma Padam Shree paid tributes to late Didi Nirmala Deshpandey and Shri Sunil Dutt. He was presented shawl by the Chairman of the school. Tripta Verma was hono ured by Nasreen Khan, Miss Neeru Puri and Sureshta Khajuria. Vote of thanks was presented by Miss Sureshta Khajuria while Mr. Sohail Kazmi was the special guest and Joint Director Information Souj anya Sharma presided over the function. Jahangir Mir was the guest of honour. In the end Jan Gan Man was sung. |
