| "Aryans admission cum scholarship mela" on Mar 6 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu/Srinagar, Mar 3: Chandigarh based Aryans Group of Colleges has declared the date of "Admission cum Scholarship Mela 2012". The Scholarship interviews would be held on March 6th at Vivanta by Taj, Dal View, Srinagar.
More than 600 students have already applied for 50 scholarships in MBA, PGDM, BBA, BCA, B.Tech (Civil, Mechanical, CSE, EEE & ECE) & B.Tech (LEET) on merit cum means basis. Registrations are still open as the interested students can get themselves registered at scholarship @aryans.edu.in or by call on Helpline Number 098762-99888, 098765-99888.
Giving this information to media, Parveen Kataria, Director General, Aryans Group said that around 100 shortlisted candidates would be called for final round. The candidates must bring all the original documents along with the family income statement, token fees and domicile certificate. She further added that a part of the student's education would be funded by the College, a part by the student and rest of the part by the Bank. Anshu Kataria, chairman, Aryans Group told that "earlier the scholarship were given purely on merit cum means basis, but now, this time Aryans Group has decided to include Kashmiri migrants, SC, ST, OBC, BPL, orphans, persons with disability (PWD), Defence and sports categories for giving scholarships".
Varinder Kaur, coordinator, Aryans Group said that last year more than 200 companies visited Aryans campus in various job fests/campus recruitment drive, now in 2012 Aryans is planning to invite around 300 companies for various recruitment drives.
The group would target to provide jobs to around 2000 engineering, 1000 Polytechnic Diploma Holders & 500 MBA students.
