| Info deptt organizes debating contest | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Mar 3: District Information Centre, Udhampur organized a debating contest on the topic "Television: a Friend or Foe" in the premises of Govt. Girls High School Katra in District Reasi on Friday.
As many as 10 students of the institution participated in the contest and expressed their views on the topic.
Treasury Officer, Katra Danesh Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion. Arti Devi of 10th class clinched first position in the contest while Shabnum of 9th class and Samriti of 10th class bagged second and third positions respectively in the contest.
Two consolation prizes were also given. The participants were awarded prizes and certificates of merit.
On the occasion a captivating cultural programme was also organized by the students of the host institution.
Later, a farewell party was also organized for the students of 10th class by the 9th class students.
The headmaster of the host school wished the 10th class students all success in the board examination. |
