| Basic foundation course for elected representatives of Panchayats concludes | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 3: The basic foundation course for the elected representatives of nine Panchayat Halqas of Block Majalta concluded today. A total of 75 representatives including 30 female panches attended the four days training programme at Block H.Q Mansar. In this programme the participants were made aware about the local self governance, salient features of J&K Panchayati Raj Act 1989, Right to Information , Community participation , Social Audit , J&K Public Service Gurantee Act , Role of PRIs in the State / Centre sponsored schemes . Ram L Upadhaya former United Nation Advisor to India was the chief gust on the conducting day. He delivered lecture on the Self Employment especially dairy farming and success of the dairy farming in Denmark and other European countries. Director Rural Development Department Jammu S.K Raina (KAS) also interacted with the participants during this four day training programme . Block Development Officer Majalta Chand Kishore Sharma delivered lecture on salient features of Panchayati Raj Act 1989, Right to Information , Social Audit and Role of PRI's in the implementation of MGNREGA . Among others Pritam Lal , Anurudh Singh , Ravi Kumar , Rattan Singh and Sham Lal also delivered lecture . |
