| Patwaris pen down strike enter 3rd day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 3: The strike of the Patwaris of Jammu and Kashmir under the banner of All J&K Patwar Association entered its third consecutive day.
They are demanding removal of pay anomaly, retrospective effect, placement of qualified GQ as Naib Tehsildar in OPG, stoppage of direct recruitment of Naib Tehsildars, enhancement of chances in PSC exam from four to eight, non-inclusion of Patwaries in PSGA, Departmental Enquiry Cell and providing training to all Settlement Assistant Patwaris and enhancement in their pay.
All the tehsil president of Distt. Jammu remained present alongwith all the basic member of Distt Jammu. The gathering was addressed by all tehsil presidents, Distt. President Jammu Sukhdev Singh, Province Secretary Sageer Mirza, Province President Raman Sharma and Khurshid Tantry, Mohd Sarver Lone State senior vice-president and Gen. Secretary respectively.
Due to the indifferent attitude of the Govt. towards the demands of the Association General Secretary in his address announced that the strike shall continue for three more days, till 6th of March 2012.
The others who addressed the gathering included Sanjeevan Kumar Sharma.
