| Seminar on 'consumer rights' organized | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 3: A seminar on the right of consumers was organized at Patoli Brahmana Jammu under the Charimanship of Ms Bala Jyoti President Divisional Consumer Forum Jammu wherein MLA of the area Bodh Raj was the guest of the honour.
Large number of Sarpanches and Panches of the village and Corporator Smt Nirja Sharma, prominent advocates of the Jammu Bar Neena Mishra, Sonia Gupta Vishal Sharma, Rashmi Bajaj, Vishal Kapoor, Baldev Singh and Vandhna Mehta participated and exchange their views. All the speakers focused on Consumer Laws their necessities in day -to-day life and assured general public to render their legal assistance in redressal of their grievances.
MLA Bodh Raj in his address spoke about the necessity of such Legal Literacy camps in different villages so that rural masses cannot be deprived of their basic rights due to their ignorance and illiteracy. While speaking on the occasion Ms Bala Jyoti President Divisional Consumer Forum Jammu emphasized the need for sensitization of consumers. She assured the audience to get speedy justice from this Forum. The programme was a huge success and all the participants assured organizers (Divisional Consumer Forum Jammu) to render full co-operation in near future to organize such type of Legal Literacy Programmes, Workshops/Camps/Seminars, Colloquia on the said occasion.
A similar Legal Literacy Camp shll be organized at Jagti, Sidhra, Majhlata, R.S. Pura etc. to being awareness of Consumer Laws
