State govt casual towards effectiveness of SAC: AJKMPJ | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 4: All J&K Movement for Peace & Justice (AJKMPJ) has termed the recent exposures of corruption related developments as an ugly joke of our political masters at the helm of affairs towards the masses. Addressing a press conference here today, AJKMPJ members said that despite sensitive comments by the stalwarts during the Assembly Session over the unfortunate attempts of rulers to defunct the "State Accountability Commission" nobody seems ready to rectify the existing errors or deficiencies by way of required legislation for its needed effectiveness, they added. Recent decision of coalition state government for the key posting to G N Qasba as Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation was strongly criticized by the Movement and termed it more painful, in view of an order of "State Accountability Commission" vide dated: 30-04-2007 in a corruption case as "Complaint No.no.J-46/2005" titled Deep Singh, President, PAPA-NGO v/s G N Qasba, Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Jammu/Srinagar. The SAC had recommended to the Co-operative societies department to take action against the respondent under rule 30-of the J&K CA Rules 1956 by dismissing him from service. Similarly, so many politicians & bureaucrats, either exposed or facing trial in SAC or booked in cases with SVO and awaiting sanctions from Govt. are enjoying the ministerial posts and key postings after managing stay orders from the High Court since more than five years against an intentionally motivated and dummy persuasion of the state government or its agencies.Members of the Movement who addressed the press conference were Deep Singh, Kuldeep Kumar Rao, Dr GS Charak, Gurtaj Singh and Pardeep Kumar Bhagat. |
