JAMMU, Mar 4: Results of raffle draw for prizes of Police Public Mela were announced at Police Sports Stadium, Gulshan Grounds here this evening. The draw was held in presence of large gathering of men, women and children.
Small children drawn from the gathering picked the lucky numbers for prizes of different categories in presence of Director General of Police (DGP), Kuldeep Khoda, Chairperson, J&K Police Wives Welfare Association, Dr. Indu Koul Khoda, Additional Directors General of Police, K. Rajendra Kumar, Dr. Ram Lubhaya and Naveen Aggarwal, senior police officers and lady members of Police Parivar.
The first prize four TATA Indica V2 XETA Cars were won by raffle draw ticket numbers A-97366, B-57868, C-25578 and D-47527 ,2nd prize four Santro Cars were bagged by ticket numbers A-25001, B-46565, C-15405 and D-49112. The 3rd prizefour Alto Cars were won by ticket numbers A-23214, B-27928, C-33599 and D-88058
Similarly the 4th prize four Motor Cycles went to raffle draw ticket numbers A-99561, B-30526, C-94919 and D-44810.The 5th prize four Scooties Activa went to ticket numbers A-53226, B-71088, C-52327 and D-93293. The 6th prize four Lap Tops go to ticket numbers A-12054, B-97342, C-49888 and D-38666. The 7th prize four LCD TVs were won by ticket numbersA-42442, B-33973, C-56441 and D-06045. The 8th prize four Handicam were bagged by ticket numbers A-26092, B-96320, C-38374 and D-58559. The 9th prize four AC.75 go to Ticket numbers A-94159, B-28995, C-25502, and D-25473. 10th Prizefour Washing Machines were bagged by ticket numbers A-16332, B-02774, C-27450 and D-65936. The 11th Prize, four Microwave Ovens go to ticket numbers A-70237, B-66725, C-88374 and D-64852.
Accordingly 40 Cash prizes of Rs. 1,000 each go to tickets with last four digits 4857. Likewise 400 cash prizes of Rs. 500 go to tickets having last three digits 796 and the 4000 cash prizes of Rs. 200 go to tickets having last two digits 71.
The Mela was attended by a large number of people from all walks of life besides top ranks of JKP, lady members JKPWWA and civil administration officers. They showed great interest in the purchase of goods put for sale by the stall holders.
Visitors enjoyed entertainments presented by various cultural groups. Children in colourful dresses had thronged the venue early in the morning and enjoyed and amusement plays. .
Khoda thanked the people for their massive participation in the day long Mela. Several prizes were handed over to the prize winners on the spot, who were present in the raffle draw. The other prize winners have been advised to approach the AIG (Welfare) PHQ, along with original tickets to receive the prizes during office hours.
