Gulabgarh people devoid of basic amenities: Nabi | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU , Mar 4 : The people of Gulabgarh constituency are facing various problems in all the spheres of life as they are devoid of basic amenities which include road connectivity, transportation, electricity drinking water, health and educational institutions. This was stated by Pradesh Youth Congress Ghulam Nabi activist from Gulabgarh constituency. In a press statement issued here today, Nabi alleged that the area has no proper implementation of state and centrally sponsored schemes like PMGSY, MGNERGA, NRHM, IAY etc. He said that the people of this constituency are mostly poor, illiterate and backward classes and mostly residing in the hilly areas. The people are facing shortage of all basic essential commodities during harsh cold conditions as the most of areas of the constituency remain cut off from the District Headquarter for almost two months, Nabi said. It is pitiable to mention that during this period Government is not taking any initiative to restore the ration supply, Kerosene Oil, LPG etc for the benefit of the people and for their survival, he added PYC leader said that the people of the area would like to draw the attention of the Chief Minister and Minister for Rural Development Department that the norms of MGNERGA are openly violated and common masses are not given their wages in proper time. |
