| TA recruitment rally at Jalandhar on March 13 | | | Jammu, Mar 4: 112 Infantry Battalion (TA) DOGRA is organising a recruitment rally for General Duty Soldiers, Clerk (Staff Duties) and tradesmen House Keeper (Safai), Dresser (Barber) and Washer man at Jalandhar Cantt on 13 March 2012 at 0600 hours onwards for candidates hailing from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Delhi and Chandigarh (UT). The candidates appearing for the General Duty Soldiers should have passed matric examination with a minimum 45 percent marks in aggregate and 32 percent in each subject. Candidates with higher qualifications need not have 45 percent marks. The candidates appearing for Clerk (SD) should be 10+2/Intermediate exam passed from any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science with English) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and atleast 40% marks in each subject & should have proficient in typing and operating computer. The candidates appearing for Dresser (Barber) and Washer man should be 10th passed and appearing for House Keeper (Safai) should be 8th simple passed. Preference will be given to Good Shooters/Computer literate/Nursing/Vehicle Mechanic and sportsmen who have represented at National/ State/ District level and drivers of heavy vehicles with valid license for recruitment as soldiers (General Duty).
Territorial Army is a voluntary part time service where gainfully employed individuals are guaranteed two months employment/embodiment in a year. Further employment/ embodiment depends on the availability of vacancy. |
