The opposition National Conference today said Jammu and Kashmir BJP chief Ashok Khajuria's remarks at a function here yesterday amounted to showing disrespect to the state Constitution and the flag, and demanded registeration of a case against him.
"We want registeration of a case against the state BJP chief and his arrest for showing disrespect to the state flag and and the Constitution," senior NC leader Mustafa Kamal told reporters here.
At the function, the state BJP chief had said Jammu and Kashmir should be fully integrated with the country by bringing down state's red flag, doing away with the state Constitution and scrapping Article 370.
Flaying his remarks, Kamal said these amounted to showing disrespect to the state Constitution and the flag.
A case should be registered against the state BJP chief, Kamal said and asked the Ghulam Nabi Azad government to arrest him. |
