| Hindus to decide duration of Amaranth Yatra: Togadia | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Mar 4: VHP national president Praveen Bhai Togadia today said it were only the Hindus and Hindu organisations who had got the right to decide about the duration of the holy Amarnath Yatra. Addressing a public rally here, he said it was painful to note that the state government had reduced the Amarnath Yatra duration. "By doing so, it is playing with the religious sentiments of Hindus," he asserted. The VHP president called upon Hindus to avoid caste system and get united for their overall development. Asserting that VHP would not tolerate any injustice with Hindus, he said the state government had been neglecting the community and did not have will to make laws for its welfare. Togadia said it was a matter of great concern that no Hindu had taken oath as J&K CM for the past about 60 years, while in many Hindu dominated states, Muslim CMs had been given full support by the majority community. Earlier on his arrival here Saturday evening, he was received by the local leaders of VHP, RSS, BJP, BJYM, Bajrang Dal and Beopar Mandal. |
