Zero Hour in LC | Council-2012 Council-2012 Council-2012 | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 5: Several members raised issues of public importance during Zero Hour in Legislative Council today. Nizam-u-Din Khatana raised the issue regarding extending benefits to STs, SC and OBCs for their social economic development. Naresh Gupta demanded reorganization of erstwhile Doda district at village, Panchayat and Block levels in view of the topography of the area. Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy raised the issue of macadamization of bus stands, taxi stands and development of truck terminals in cities and towns.B.R Kundal demanded installing photograph of B. R Ambedkar, father of Indian constitution in the Legislature complex lobby.Ajay Sadhotra raised the issue regarding appointment of youth under National Youth Corps scheme.Bashir Ahmad Magrey demanded Government action against political leaders who flare up communal passion during Amarnath Ji Yatra. Nurboo Gialchan requested government for formation of a committee to verify alleged violation in distribution of amenities and benefits, to SCs, STs and other backward classes. Sheikh Ghulam Rasool raised the issue regarding private members resolution.Dr. Bashir Ahmad Veeri demanded tehsil headquarters for Sri-Gufwara in Anantnag district. Vijay Bakaya raised the issue of migrant employees and demanded providing prefabricated structures at Natnusa Kupwara to address problem of housing of migrant employees. Ajatshatru Singh raised the issue regarding incidents of illegal land grabbing by land mafia coming under 4 lanning of National Highway project between Nagrota and Udhampur. Mohammad Amin Bhat demanded development of Kulgam town. S Dharam Bir Singh Oberio demanded enforcement of traffic norms by way of mandatory use of helmets and seat-belts to avoid loss of life during accidents. Ghulam Qadir Pardasi demanded a centrally located PHE-sub division for rural areas of Srinagar. |
