Srinagar, Mar 5: Saifuddin Soz MP (former Union Minister) & president J&K Pradesh Congress Committee while issuing a statement to the Press said , " It is my conviction as also my assessment of the situation in UP that Rahul Gandhi will emerge victorious in elections there.
Rahul Gandhi had amply proved his mettle in the last Parliamentary Election. As for the Assembly elections in UP, since local issues predominate and vision of long term policy issues gets blurred in unbridled and misplaced propaganda and therefore Rahul Gandhi's achievement may not be spectacular as many people expect. I support General Secretary Incharge of UP Digvijay Singh's view fully that even if the results for the Congress party are less than very heartwarming, the blame can not go to Rahul Gandhi whose performance at the hustings has been superb. I am confident that the future is for Rahul Gandhi- As a keen observer of Rahul Gandhi's method of connectivity with the people, he is going to emerge as an icon of political governance and model for AICC. The hall mark of Rahul Gandhi's style of functioning is that his approach is direct, democratic and transparent and this will serve as a potential whiff of fresh wind for the Congress party throughout the Country." |
